Truck Needs New Shocks

I drive it all the time so I was just used to it, but my truck is getting pretty bouncy in its old age 140K on what I assume are the original shocks.

I was thinking it would be worth it to go with something better than a cheap OE type replacements. Any suggestions?

The truck is a 2003 Silverado 1500 SS

I run bilstein 5100's on my 04 silverado 1500.

I would upgrade if I were you. Bilstein, Belltech, Eibach, KYB, etc.

Belltech is my first choice for shocks but any are better then OE or Autozone Chinese junk.

any specific "model" of those shock brands?. I'd also want something that would be considered kinda heavy duty, as this is also my tow rig.

I chose Bilstein's and am happy. F350 Superduty so its rough regardless but the stock were done.

I also just put bilstein 5100's on my 06 tundra. They are a very nice shock and the fronts are adjustable.

I went with the Bilstein 4600. Some websites showed the 5100 would fit my truck, but then again some sites dont even ask for a submodel for me to choose if it is the SS. When I went directly to the billstein website it showed a front and rear in the 4600 but nothing in the 5100. Oh well, The 5100 was maybe a little more than I was anticipating spending. I am sure these will still be better than the generic ones from an auto parts store or the GM garage.
