'03 bu vlx, indmar monsoon efi engine.
Where exactly does the raw water go once it enters the boat. i.e. raw water intake -> water filter -> impeller -> ???
My boat's intake hose looks like it goes straight to the v-drive unit then out and to the impeller, but that can't be right can it??

That is right. The impeller sucks through the v-drive, transmission cooler (at least on my previous Indmar powered boat) and then into the impeller. From there into the engine circulation pump.

I believe in from bottom intake grate, around to lower v-drive unit, raw water pump, to trans cooler to top of front of engine intake, then disperse to exhaust and engine water pump and block.

One more question. If I run antifreeze through the engine, would I have to use a fat sac pump to pump it out of a bucket and into the hose or would the impeller be able to suck it out efficiently enough?

The impeller can suck it from a bucket

the boat will pull a 5 gallon bucket down in less than a minute.
