Houston MasterCraft @ Papas on the Lake

Did anyone go to this? how was the water? wasnt it rough when randall and rusty went last time?

We went and the water was a little cold, but wasnt bad back in the cove. 72 degrees. Hopefully someone will post up pics my camera died. The boats were awesome.

I didn't make it this time either. Hope someone will post some pics. Big props to HMC for hosting these events.

I took a some pics of Ricky and Josh riding, but they are all on Tony's camera. I'll see if I cant get him to post them today or tomorrow.

2 girls that were on the boat with us took a bunch of pics and she is supposed to email them to me, when she does I will post them up.

It was a little crazy, first some moron riding right in the middle of where we were riding, pretty much going across from us, then a tuber and to top it off some jet skis, that were actually respectful they just sat there and watched.

Josh Palma was killing it that day! Still waiting on those girls to get me their pics. Gene we were boarding way up north in the Nat. Forrest. The weather turned out great. The next event will be Memorial Sunday, but Tyler, me, and some others will be holding it down for HMC @ Devils Cove on Travis Memorial Weekend.

Thanks Matt! The conditions looked nice for Conroe, so I figured that's where it was. I've never ventured up to that part of the lake since I'm not familiar with where all the stumps are.

I'll call first thing tomorrow. Never underestimate the Shock and Awe value of an 8am wake up call to ask for pictures...

Elusive, thats for sure, but I shall prevail.

I have fond memories of Papas. We were down there in like Feb of 2002. Doesn't look like much has changed. We stayed at some resort right on the lake. I forget what it was called. Anyways, every time we asked any of the locals what there was to do at night, the answer always was Papas

For the last couple of years if you wanted to hang out with more than 10 people at a time in Conroe, and all those people weren't on YOUR boat, Papas it was. Choices have broadened here in the last year and a half, though the Lake Conroe area is not my first choice of weekend nightlife.

I heard that the owners sold it or went bankrupt. Anyone know what they are planning on doing with the property?
