X2 Center Sack

My 01 X Star center sack fill connection split open and filled the bilge full of water. I order a new sack ($358 ouch) and headed for the lake. I noticed the bilge running and inspected the center sack and found the 90 degree connection ripped completely out of the sack. The good news is the dealer will replace the sack. I believe I received a faulty sack or is their a installation secret to prevent this from happening again?

358 for a sack! Straight up robbery!

It shouldn't rip. I would say, get your money back and buy a sack off ebay for $50.00
