Just curious if I'll have any problems, the way I've been loading my boat is standard MLS, wedge down, and 2 350lb sacs on each side of the engine. Has anyone had any issues with too much weight in the back? I can still see over the bow once planed. That extra weight in the back creates a good lip to the rampy wake.
If you aren't having planing problems and the wake is nice, then you are fine. I don't have the wedge, but I run MLS with a 500 lb sack on each side of the engine (not completely full) and about 400 lbs of lead in the bow. The weight in the bow really helps.
I don't use the wedge much but have read from others that it needs more weight in the bow to be best. We go mls + side sacs in the lockers + tube sac under bow filler cushion + 150lbs. under observer to offset driver and full ice chest.
If I distributed the weight more evenly between front and back the wake would be big but more rampy though, whereas I'm looking for some lip on the wake. I don't seem to get any unless weighted heavily in the back.
