Spring Valley Lake in Victorville would be a better deal.

The ramp doesn't even look like it touches the water.

Yea, very cheap compared to where I live. You can pay that much for a condo!

I work in Barstow and their is no lake in Barstow. It has to be in the surrounding area. This would be a good place. Some of the dealers in So. Cal have places in the same area. Water table is high but lake depth is shallow <10 I think, and Slowjet yea wind I hate wind!

Most of those private lakes are just north of barstow on the 15. Opposite side of the freeway from that little Water park. We flew up there not to long ago and counted no less than 10 private Ski lakes in that area. We were looking for one that had a private landing strip so we could fly in and fly out . We found only 1 that had it.

Which one had the landing strip? Post a link.

Paradise lakes has a private strip. I dont remember the name of the town though. Brandon Poser had a home listed for sale (via a colleague or something) there in a thread several months back.

edit - I dont remember now if it is called Paradise Lakes or not.

Thomas, yeah that was Paradise Lakes. I posted that for a agent friend of mine that has the listing. Private air stip right in between two lakes, one of which is 13ft deep. Saw your mail to Chuck, we'll have to see what we can do to get you up here soon.

E- if you still have some interest in a property, that might be something worth looking into. Shoot me an email if you have any questions. So you know, I'm not the real estate agent, just the mortgage banker. Brandon_Poser@countrywide.com

Paradise lakes is an amazing place. if I had the coin for a vacation home, it would probably be there.

We just flew back from a friend's wedding up near this area, and I noticed Paradise Lakes airport come up on the GPS. Here's a picture from 11,500 feet. Notice I ran a filter on it because of the poor air quality. I posted the before and after filtered.

I remember reading about this place a while back. I think when values finish their steep decline, maybe I'll have another look. Some friends say they made the drive from Beverly Hills to Hanford (like 90 miles north of there) in about 2 1/2 hours, so this seems like it'd be a reasonable drive from the LA area, and it's a very easy flight from the San Diego area.

Isn't that in Kern County near Arvin? That's where the INT was held...I think.
