No way is anyone going to pay that price for that. Especially with the potential of the stringers being rotted out. It looks like garbage anyways.

Interesting boat. At least 10k over priced though.

There is only so much polishing that can be done to a turd. Hopefully the seller will live and learn, or else find a way to be happy with the boat he is now stuck with.

These old Centurians look good on the water with the old school Roman nose (at least thats what they called it where I grew up - Shasta) but as much work has been done you simply can't get past the design limitations of the period. One of the reasons I traded in my 03 was no matter how nice it was kept or what I upgraded on the boat I wasnt going to change the hull design. It's like fixing up an old VW, dont get me wrong I love old Cal style bugs and used to have a decent 69 but you know going in that you will never recoup the money spent.

26k. LOL. Might as well as 100k, because the guy has as much change of getting 100k out of that thing as he does getting 26k, which is 0.00%.

I would like to see the build pictures. I like the look of the old school boats. 26K is steep for any ski boat this age, no matter how much work you put into it. Props on the build, the boat looks great!

Cool project and no doubt he is probably into it a lot more than it is worth. No way it is worth even close to that price. I would venture to say it is 15K over priced.

Look how old the boards in the racks are. Some guy spent way to much money fixing up a DD. I mean it looks pretty decent but for $27k, there are much better boats that aren't 25 years old!

Should have wrapped it in bacon.

I'm going to go with Diggs at 15K over priced at least. I bought a used 97 open bow 2 years ago for $9500. It was in excellent condition and we used it 2 season and spent nothing other than an oil change and gas. Traded it for $9000. That boat is 10 year older! 10K tops in my book. Reminds me of that Mastercraft on here a few months back. Same thing, the guy poured 25K into a 7500 boat and wanted like 30K for a 90's Prostar 190.

I'll start the bidding at $5000... wait, no I won't...

Rebuilt motor and tranny
New upholstry
Pretty decent stereo
custom wheels on the trailer

If the wrap was your style I could see him getting somewhere around $15k for it if a person can look past the fact it doesn't have a trunk. I got a pretty good deal on my '92 sunsport and it was just under $10k. (admittedly I had 1 auto ballast bag and PP).

But yeah, $26k is laughable.

I currently have a 88 Centurion Falcon closed bow and it is up for sale. I noted the price and based on the current market I have increased my listing price from 9,500 to 17,500.

I can say they are a very good starter boat for someone looking to get into the sport and out on the water. Weighted correctly it throws a smaller but firm wake. I am looking forward to riding behind my new upgrade (2013 Outback V)

That being said I can imagine that boat being 26,000 new. I only paid 50,000 for my new boat.

Even with all the work I would have to say our boats are worth about the same on the open market.

I would up your price too, that's an uber rare left hand drive model.

On the reasonably priced open bow
I like the fade to blue on the trailer liner job. Takes skills to pull that off. That's the stealthest stereo install I've ever seen too. You think these things come cheap? Gotta pay to play boys. Who doesn't wish they had lime green interior? Want more? Throw some black racing stripes on it. Ever seen a blacked out perko bow light? One of a kind people. Can you put a price on all the attention a ride like this will get? Think of the women, not the too good to put out ones either. The only brand new 1988 in the country folks, do not miss out! I don't see it lasting through the weekend so bring cash because no one in their right mind is offering financing.
