Can anyone tell me how the freeboard is on a Moomba Outback V? Any comments on these boats would be great.

I have a 2008 and it is not great but does the job for me. My lake is relatively smooth all the time, but i also took it on Lake Erie and it was a little sketchy. I think it is a great boat but if freeboard is a concern you may want to bump up to the LSV.

It is a great all around boat. The wake has a very nice shape and can be shaped how you want. I was able to land my 2nd toe 7 behind one with only 1500lbs and two people. The wake wasn't huge but had good pop. Hope this helps.

Anyone also slalom behind one? I've heard it's a pretty good crossover. I wouldn't expect it to be a DD like slalom but wondering if anyone had any feedback about it and how the slalom wake is around 30-32 & wake plate.

I'm mostly asking about the 2006-2008 hull.

It depends what year you are talking about. 2009 was a new hull. It is a little shorter but wider and has more freeboard. The older one's a pretty shallow feeling by today's standards for wakeboats.

I have an 07 and love it. You need about 1800# to dial it in. Freboard Is low but as long as you are paying attention u should be ok

I like the OBV it skis really well for a V especially with the wakeplate, and throws a nice wake with some weight. It also has a very surfable wake. As far as free board I dont think its much more or less than my LSV. other than surfing we've never had any low freeboard issues in my buddies OBV. The interior feels a little shallow compared to most V's but is very stable and in my opinion is one of the best cross-over boats out there. My LSV on the other hand is a little heavier and with weight the nose dips really easy.
