Does anyone know where you can pick up reversible ballast pumps for the lowest price? Or is anyone looking to get rid of one? Thanks

Do a Google search for Simer or ballst puppy. Simers are cheap vs. ballast puppys but can't run dry.

So are these Flotecs reversible, ( i assume they are), if so do they have to be primed or can you just flip a switch and let 'em get after it? Seems like a great price point.

Tsunami pumps are 100 bucks, and they self prime, reversible, and very fast. Check em out.

".......currently running four of these in my boat. 1800 #s in 7 to 10 min"

That's a large spread when talking about ballast fill time....somewhere between 257#/min to 180#/min.....lol.

Brian,

do you have a link to the pump that you are using? All the Tsunami pumps i've seen are aerators and will not self prime and are not reversible then again they also are only $30-$45.

Hey Brian I would also like to know where you got these reversible tsunami pumps. I'm looking to a system as well so some more info on these would be great.

I have a simer and a ballast puppy that I will be listing for sale shortly.
They were installed over the winter and used only 4 times before I sold the boat.
Let me know if your interested and we can work a deal

I have 2003 Tige 22V. Love the boat! A previos owner installed a ballast system but must have pulled it out before selling. there are 4 reversible switches in the dash for 4 ballast pumps. In the hull of the boat there are only two water inlets. Can you split off the inlet and go to multiple pumps. This seems like it could create a problem where you are filling one ballast from another.

Also, can the water transfer pump be installed in any position? vertical? horizontal? unsidedown?

Josh,

I may be interested in those. How much are you looking to get out of them?
