I am discovering that I much prefer the surf style over skim when I ride. Maybe I am too old and uncoordinated or just do not like all of the wipeouts trying the skim tricks. Anyway, I have a nice Phase 5 Drew Danielo Pro Carbon board that I would like to sell so I can get another surf style board. The board has only been used for a month.

At this point I do not have a box to ship it. I live in Victoria, BC and will be in Osoyoos July 31 until August 7 if you are interested and would like to check it out.

PM me for more information and pictures.

It is a large (measures 54"). It is olive greenish with blue pads and a blue bottom. I purchased it last season.
$450

FYI, If the board is the olive green color it is the Drew Danielo Pro model, (non Carbon Fiber). All of the carbon boards they just clear coat the carbon, so they are all black. You can have colored pads, and bottom though.

I asked the same questions when I purchased it but was assured that it was a colored carbon. It sounds like I might have been hosed. I will post up a picture later. It does have a threaded weave look to it though.

It looks like you can get Carbon Fiber in different colors:

I'm not sure if P5 uses the colored Carbon though....

The regular DD boards do have a threaded weave to them, although they are not made of carbon. You have the Texalium board. It probably looks something like this. This is a stock picture of the texalium board from the Phase 5 website. You can see the weave in the picture.

Ok, I there is someone local to me who is going to demo the board so it is off the market for now.

I spoke to the place where the board was purchased and he assured me it was a carbon board. It is supposedly a 2008 model. Is there any way to tell the difference between carbon and texalium?

All of the P5 DD Carbon's I have seen are black on top and the bottom have all been different. Why dont you call P5 and ask them?
