Anyone around Chippewa Lake, Oh? I thought they had a public access ramp. I have a 2005 Malibu VLX if anyone is interested.

I have access to a cottage out there and have friends out there too,not sure if the public ramp is open or even finished yet.I here it's the first 25 boats each day limit haven't heard anything about if they are limiting HP,there was talk of that at one time.I know this if you get 25 non lake rights boats and mix them with all the ones with rights, you might as well go on Erie because it will be a washing machine.I ride there with friends all the time.

Jay, sounds great! If they only take the first 25, I think I could do an early morning run, or maybe they let another boat on the lake when a boat leaves???
Also, you can ride with us in Huron on the weekend (or any day) Its just that the water is always flat on the river!

Test drove the boat I purchased on Chippewa Lake.. there was no word about a boat limit or anything along those lines. It's my understanding that it's now a public lake with no hp or length limit.

However we were there after work on a weekday and it was chopped up pretty bad even though there was maybe 10 boats out there. It's rather small.

Beware of the public ramp on the south side of the lake. As youre looking at the water, immediately to the right of the ramp there is a large sand bar that is maybe 1' deep. Previous owner of the boat got stuck there and chewed up his prop trying to get out.

There is a 25 boat limit,If all the trailer parking spaces are taken,no more boats are allowed to launch.

26 vehicle with trailer spots,13 vehicle only(canoe/kayak) spots. You must go straight out from the ramp or you will hit bottom if you go out farther than each edge of the ramp. They had to build the ramp in the most shallow spot in the lake cause the ground was too soft to put it where they wanted to put it in deeper water. It's small and it does get crowded and like a washing machine choppy.
