No, pretty sure it was a FM or an O'brien. Almost positive it wasn't a trip.

There was a thread about 6 months ago on this board...someone posted a flash version of the sequence...if you really want it, im sure you could find if you searched long enough.

Parks never road for Liquid Force.
He was on Connelly,Free Motion then Hyperlite.
He landed the 1080 on the Free Motion Quest.

that's right... FM Quest unpainted with LF Ultras... which got him into trouble with FM later on if I'm not mistaken...

No way was it a trip..... Single fin versus 3 fin. Pretty sure it's a FM. Reid, I'd say you lost the bet, buddy. Just suck it up and buy your buddies a 12'er.

It was his FM Quest, the first blue one. Right after he bailed Connelly he was riding LF unofficially. The first sequence of his double half roll was on a painted Best Board with Hyperlite Highback boots.

I doubt riding Ultras got him in trouble with FM. They were the same company. Matt Staker rode Ultras too. What got him in hot water was riding an old O'brien boot in Shafted (he also rode ultras in that too).

Big Heavy hit it right. I was riding for FM also at the time and the bindings were not that good. So FM let us ride Ultras. Also I had a Super Squirt with FM choice 135 graphics on it. Matt Staker got that done for us.

Big Heavy you must of been a young pup back then that was a long time ago I think that all went down around 98 or 99. Oh man I am Old School.

I was obsessed with wakeboarding a long time ago. My old WBM's used to disintegrate between issues. Hell I still have my LF Free 135 with the Oatmeal color. The skurfer and Wake Tech Big Air are long gone. I think I was like 11 when I learned to ride, yeah I've been at it for awhile! Too bad I still suck. But then again cheers (with said beer) as I haven't blown out my knees. Woo hoo!

I was working at Waterski World in Santa Ana in 1999 so I was deep in it back then. I was really hooked around 94-95 as a 12 year old. Honestly you can ask me any question from that period and before and odds are good I can rattle off some useless detail or whatever....memories...

Big Heavy, I have been in it sence the Skurfer. I rember when the flight 69 came then bylerys Old english board. To me thats when the sport changed scott got alot of flack for riding the way he did. Haha now look spinning is the normal. Who would of ever thought that 3 different 720's are thrown in a pro run. If you would of told the guys that back then that 720's would be the normal in a pro run they would think you were crazy.

Man has the sport progressed.

Thomas, ya that SS rocked only thing is watch out it lands so hard I took one for a spin a year ago and my knees were mad at me for a week.

Parks did get in trouble for wearing some other bindings. I remember reading that in an interview of his...but I think the bindings were hyperlites. Yes, it's all coming back to me now...it was at one of the x-games events...I think he won it, and after his ride, he swapped the bindings back to FM or LF, but beef was still had...

Believe he was wearing highbacks at like the 98 or 99 x-games and changed to ultras if memory serves (could be dead wrong).

I knew it was a binding issue... but didn't remembered all the details... I knew I had seen him riding ultras a lot... but now I can recall seeing him with bindings that looked like old highbacks... or obrien free axis...
