I like your thinking, we have a 10 week old daughter we named Railey.

Sorry to be a dose of cold water, but it is possible that she may not grow up to be a wakeboarder or even like the sport and when she hits that certain age she may think it to be a bit on the shallow side being named after a wakeboard trick. But then again, I tend to be on the conservative side when it comes to more permanent things like names or body art.

Now having said that, naming her after Dallas, Tara, Emily would be fine names which would be inspired by wakeboarding.

BTW - Congrats on the fatherhood news.

Id go with something like:
Frontside Air Roll-to-Revert

She would get alot of respect with that one.

Shouldn't we save the wakeboarding names for dogs and not humans?!

If not, then I guess Pete Rose is a good name.

uh-oh, Mr.Butler is back again...in jesse's defense, he is a man who has expressed his fancy for a member of the opposite sex (albeit, one who is more than likely unachievable...sorry jesse!) Mr. Butler, didn't you ever have a gal you thought was nice looking when you were younger? perhaps Margaret Thatcher? lighten up man, i think Dallas is hot too and i would have no troubles telling her father/brother/mother/etc. that face to face. you take alot of flak on this site and it may be for good reason...
Old     (trickyboarder08)      Join Date: Jul 2005       07-16-2008, 2:39 PM Reply
you can name her Tootsie
Old     (hyperliteguy_04)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-16-2008, 2:40 PM Reply
Lol no worries Derek.....i got a gf, a house, my own car.....i think i came to terms with girls being unachievable a long time ago......but then you know they like the attention.

so how many guys do you think have came up to Nicola and told her all kinds of things? maybe you should be more worried about that.....

Dallas is hot. Dallas is hot. Dallas is hot.
She is a wakeboarder and a very, very good one. I also think she is pretty but I don't bang on about it all the time.To the exclusion of all else.

Yeah Eubanks, you are probably right. People in the UK even thought it was dumb when I gave my dogs wakeboarding names. If you name the kid after a famous wakeboarder it will probably be better than a wakeboarding trick.Even more so if they don't take up wakeboarding.

Here's a list of names you can choose from.
Don't forget all the boats & accessory products associated with wakeboarding too.

Flyhigh, How about "Axis"? Very rare name with some meaning behind it if compared with wakeboarding on-axis/off-axis.
Old     (to_blind)      Join Date: Mar 2007       07-16-2008, 3:05 PM Reply
UH, Chris, I understand you are from the UK, is that correct? Thatcher was your Prime Minister from 1979 until 1990, in fact the only woman to ever hold that position...also, she is regarded as the HOTTEST thing to ever come out of the UK.
How do you not know this? amazing...it would be like an American not knowing who George Bush was...

Wedge. It would be a lovely name.

Seriously would be hard to come up with a decent sounding (wakeboard related) name for a girl without really using someone else's name.

I do know a few girls named Ci-Ci, pronounced See-See as in C.C. = Correct Craft. Thats all I got.

MAVEN, sounds like another good one that is worth putting on the "acceptable" list.

you could consider a middle name too
like maven dallas, or dallas maven, or raelee maven, etc. the list goes on.

heck,
if your last name happens to end with a "B"
then you could give her a first name with a "K" and a middle name with a "G" then her initialls would be KGB
AND/OR force her to marry a guy with a last name with a "B"

And for her 22nd and 24th birthday, be sure to make big signs that say "22SSV/24SSV"

How about Slaysh?! umm.... i gotta try to find something original here.... umm....... not gonna lie... alot more "funny" ones that ones that could be legit ones. Unless your going for off the wall... in which case: Slurpee, Bone, Revert, Re-Entry, Tweety Bird, Vulcan, really get some authority with Blind Judge, Tantrum is just a bad omen... you could be like Frank Zappa and use 313, 900 or 1080 or somethin... Mobius, Slim Chance? Edge Catch? EPIC??? But in all honesty, congrats man
