Extended warranty?

We're buying a new boat, and were wondering about extended warranties. Do you have one? Is it worth it, and how much did you pay for it (if you don't mind sharing that)?
The one we were offered is through the financing company, but we were wondering if it is better to go through Mercury, or if there are any good/bad ones to look out for.

Hey Lauri

I would recommend the one from Mercury if you decide to get one. It is very easily used at any Mercury Service Center anywhere.

That's what I was thinking...can you tell me how much, or better yet, email me the engine serial number? They need that to give me a quote.
