lets see him dial 10's in first before getting too excited for a 12...

I think that it'd be more beneficial for him to get 1080's down solid, however, i'm not gonnna knock somebody for tryin to push the sport. A 1260 is insane, and at the level he's riding at, more power to him!

I don't blame Harf for trying the 12 before he gets the 10's wired. He probably wants to be first in the record book. Especially with the way that he and Rusty push each other. The riding level of those guys is insane right now and whoever lands the 12 first will have some serious bragging rights.

He's trying toeside 1260's, not heelside. On a TS 12, you wouldn't have to land blind (from 15 feet up into double-up turbulence) which could be why he's skipping a TS 10--as well as probably wanting to beat Rusty to a 12. A lot of people find TS 5's easier than 3's because of the landing, so maybe it's the same principle.

maybe it can be done with w wakekite

Exactly Jeff. It is the same reason why kids skip TS 7's and go straight to the 9. Because the switch landing is easier then a blind regular landing.

Uhh, What? Maybe Its just me, but in order to work on ten's you have to have a 12, so if he is working on a 12, I believe he has the option for just riding away with the ten, or going for a 12.

leo, really? TS 9's BEFORE 7's! I can see the 5, but wow, for some reason a 9 surprises me, lol.

Shane's more comfortable doing TS 9's then 7's judging from his video parts over the last decade.

Trevor, if you're spinning that fast from that high up, if you had the ability to get it around to 12, you'd try a 12 too. I'd imagine (since that's all I can do) under-rotating a 12 with the handle in front of you is a lot less painful than over-rotating (or under-rotating) a 10 with the handle behind your back.

But if someone can explain to me why Shaun White tries 10's on a skateboard halfpipe when he has yet to land a 9, that would be great. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

why not just pass the handle for a 1080.

I agree with jeff, though a different sport, who cares, if it feels more comfortable to them let em' do it! haha, I got close to a heel 9 when I was still tryin heel 7s!

Hey Matt,

Derek Grasman was landing 9s before 7s. Also, I have heard of kids skipping crow mobes and going straight for the crow 5. With trampolines, its easier for kids to learn how to huck tricks.

Wow, for some reason I assumed that by the time you got to that level you would have that blind landing dialed. I guess everyone has holes in their riding regardless of level.

Shaun White does 9's and has for awhile. his 10 is the same rotation but he comes up switch frontside instead of reg backside.
