I heard of two engine options...600HP or 800HP on the vette boat.

I always thought they were beautiful but targeted towards the serious slalom skier or barefooter. No really setup for a family boat.

The boat that Brad provided a link for, would be for the serious Vet guy, who "also" boated. The motor alone is insane. A SuperNatural Calloway motor is a very big deal to the Vet guys, and many motor enthusiast as well. The Calloway name is equal to say, Copo, Yenko, Penske, Shelby, etc, in the tradition of small "run" limited edition factory cars.

My dad wanted one of those, they made a Grand Sport model that matched his Grand Sport - would be kinda cool but a little over the top.

There was one on boattrader a month ago in the 30's. It had, I think, around 300hrs on it.

I saw a blue one on Keuka Lake (NY) last weekend. Not my style, but pretty cool to see one in person.

I rode behind one back in like 1996 or so. it was the mid state marine boat out of Paso. I think it had the LT1 engine in it. it looked sweet.

The ones posted are the old ones...they stopped making them for a few years (only offering the engine, not the "overall" package) but the new boats have a HO version of the current vette motor. The old ones were built (from what I understand) as more of a collectors/sunday cruise boat and not as something you would want to take your family out in. Although I am sure that some people have vette boats and use them like normal ski boats.

I own a 2003 wakesetter corvette edition. 23 footer with the ls1 engine. It has the corvette logo on the windshield and the engine has corvette on it also. It has every option available in 03'

I bet it's a dog out of the hole with any weight in it, but when on step I bet it smokes...

A Vett guy with a 95,000 Vett ski boat. Can I still dance with half naked girls who spill beer all over the interior?

A 400 hp callaway engine in a 19ft boat is not going to be a dog out of the hole. It would rip your arms off.

In a ski/barefoot boat the old LS1 was a great engine, but in a wakeboarding boat that is loaded down the Monsoon was a better choice during those years.

Edit: Paul, Malibu offers their 400HP hammerhead engine in the response still. I really can't even imagine what driving a 20ft ski boat with the new 800HP vette engine will be like!

I'm talking about the wakesetter with the LS1 motor.. I should have clarified that in the post, I had already hit the submit.

Its not a dog.. 375 hp ..I raced a buddy's 21 foot foot lsv with a 383 hammerhead from a dead stop. There were two of us in my boat and he was alone. I also had a fat sack full in the left rear for surfing. I have a 13.5X16 and he had a 14.25x14OJ prop.My boats a 23 footer lsv. It was dead even.. I thought he should have pulled my out of the hole with his prop and the 383.
