You could get away with a 4-channel and put the tower speakers on 2 channels and the sub on the other 2 channels bridged.

I prefer to put everything on separate amps so I would use a 2 channel amp for the tower speakers and either a mono amp or another 2 channel (bridged) amp for the sub.

Just make sure that you get an amp/amps that have RMS wattage matched to the speakers. Also, make sure that you have the correct ohm loads for the amp and speakers.

WHAT about the the speakers in the boat...there is about 4 or 5 do thay need an amp?

I have a v-230 and ran a 4 channel 2 to the boat speakers and 2 to the tower then a 2 channel bridged to the sub. I have upgraded to a third amp recently but it worked fine with the 2

If you can do 2 amps you have a bunch of options.

What is the ohm rating and number of voice coils on the sub?

Go with a 5 channel amp for the cabin speakers and sub. I run the Kicker ZX700.5 and it works very well. Then as said get a 2 channel for the towers.

Depending on the sub you could do a 4 channel with 2 channels in 2 ohm to the 4 interior speakers and the other 2 channels bridged or in 2 ohm as well to the sub. Then do a 2 channel or a 4 channel bridged to the tower speakers.

I am running 3 amps

1. Sub - mono amp
2. tower speakers - 2 ch amp
3. cabin speaker - 2 ch amp

In both my cars I am using a 4-ch amp to run the speakers and a sub. This works well in the cars cause I don't need it crazy loud. In the boat I want it loud and like having everything on its' own amp.

If the tower speakers you have are the ones I think you have they are rated at 100 watts rms. If you can get a 100x4 or so amp that would run 100 watts to each tower speakers and 200 watts to the sub. Then get a 2 channel amp if you want to run at 2 ohms or a 4 channel amp if you want to run 4 ohms to your in boat speakers.

If you don't want to spend much money you can check sonicelectronix.com. They have Crunch amps and they have a few 4 channel amps from 85x4-125x4 rms. Don't get fooled my the max output rating they show though. I just bought an 85x4 rms crunch and hooked it up yesterday to a pair of Fusion 5.25" cans. I haven't had a chance to really listen to it or tune it though. Not sure how long it will last but for under $100 delivered to my door it isn't that big of a risk.
