Ever since I bought my boat, the shower only puts out hot water when the cold tap is on. It's a Heatercraft 1S shower system on a 2002 Mercury 315 EFI engine. I checked the taps and they work correctly, which means the cold water from the engine is actually hot. I traced the pipes back and found that the hot water one is installed correctly, and the cold is attached with a barb to the thermostat housing (I have no digital camera, so if you are facing the front of the engine, the cold pipe is attached to the right side of the thermostat housing). This makes no sense to me, as it appears that the cold water pipe is on the wrong side of the thermostat. Anyone else have a shower installed on this engine? Did you just put a tee in between the water pump and the thermostat?

I contacted Svfara, but they haven't responded yet, and there is no repair depot within 700 miles.

Thanks
