Heven't had the chance to ever see a slingshot board in person but played with the Sub VI...just curious which one is actually the industry's lightest board produced?

i was mad at myself when i got over zealous and put my boots on my 142 recoil before weighing it. so i can not tell you for sure. and i am not removing the boots ;)

BUT, with the bindings (slingshot D2 2008 models) ON the board it is about 14.5 pounds... but i recently came back from the lake 3 1/2 hours ago and the boots are wet. The liners are not in the boots so they can dry. i am hoping that with the liners removed it might help make up the diff? With the (semi wet) liners in the whole set-up weighs about 1.5 lbs heavier.

I weighed myself 3 times in a row on a digital scale till i got the same results 3 times in a row then myself holding the board with the same accuracy and subtracted the diff.

Wow I was expecting less than that it looks so thin and I think the sub VI weighs about 5.5 lbs just the board alone. If your bindings weigh about 4.5 a piece that would make them about the same.

i don't know what the boots weigh alone.
again, remember that my boots are wet and have been drying in a bag for about 2 hours and have been open in the air drying for an hour or so now

what size sub VI is it? larger, smaller, same length as the slingshot in comparison. just another thing to consider when comparing

Just today I weighed my new Slingshot set up (142 Recoil and 13 D2) which were a little damp from the night before and I got 14.9 pounds. Without the bindings the board weighs 7.2 pounds. This was prompted because a co-worker got the new Byerly Monarch and Byerly bindings. That setup only weighs 12 pounds. The Monarch alone weighs a little over 6 pounds.

house,

do you have the 08 board or 07 board... i have been curious how much weight the additional mounting holes make... probably insignificant i know, but i am still curious none the less. I have the 07 board with only the 4 hole mounting

it makes 1.7 lbs of difference Jonny ;)
which i believe is the main idea of the posters question, weight. sure there are other things that matter though.

1.7 lbs diff....that is, if the sub IV up for comparison has the same dimensions as the slingshot...

I have the 08 Recoil. I don't think the extra mounting holes make a difference in weight but I have never weighed a 07 Recoil so I cant say for sure.

i'll weigh my 138 recoil when I get off of work. It's in my room with no bindings on it at the moment.
