Not too many pictures, but Boat US has some helpful articles on the subject:

how many of you run antifreeze through your engines, almost every winterization guide talks about draining engines, and say "will need antifreeze" for supplies, but none tell or reference the best way to run antifreeze through the engine, do you who do suck it up through a flush adaptor or take the intake hose off and put it in a bucket of anti-freeze, or do you just take the hoses off the thermostat and pour it through all the components.

thanks

Antifreeze. It also has rust inhibitors in the stuff.

Tom, you aren't winterizing just yet are you?
Did you notice we dipped below freezing last thursday (if ever so little). Shoot me an email at fbroen@dbllp.com will you (i don't have your email).

Fredrik
