Help getting disconnecting mainline from handle

Need some advice or helpful hints. Having a hard time getting the handle disconnected from the mainline. Just seeing if anyone has any suggestions or tips. Thanks

hit the knot with a hammer gently to loosen it up. That will free it up.

Pull on the connected loops outwards- both the handle and mainline. This should looses it up after a while. They should be connected with a loop inside a loop.

I found soaking it for a while to be helpfull too.
