This guy is becoming one of my favorite riders to watch. There are hardly any guys were I will remind the video after a trick and watch it over and over. His spinning ability and control in the air are amazing. One of the biggest things that impresses me though his how soft he makes his landings look...especially into the flats and especially bling landings in the flats. This kid is incredible!

i can't relate to cable riding because i never do it but that stale to blind of the kicker was huge. and during his boat set, i don't know how he doesn't get his arms ripped off with all the slack in the line after he lands....the rope is dangling in the water every time!

Yeah, I just went back and watched it again. How in the heck does he get that much slack in the rope?! I feel like I have to yank will all my strength to get a little bit of slack for my HS 3's...and most of the time the rope is too tight for the pass.

Only a few riders can get away with pink lids...and Nick is certainly one of them. Wow!

What's with the british riders riding 2 different bindings?
I've seen Butler riding with 2 different bindings when she rode for LF.
It's pretty steezy in snowboarding.

Sick video.
I wonder will we see cable riding in Hyperlite team video?

Nick is an unbelievable talent. It is even more fun to watch him in person because HE DOES NOT FALL. He will easily go 20-30 laps on the cable, it seems. He really does not fall. Oh and that blind judge in the beginning where he uses his back hand to whip the rope over his head OMG, never seen that one before but I do do air tricks and i cannot imagine how much tension is on that rope.

He is amazing to watch in person...He goes hard the entire time he is on the cable. And like Kyle says he doesn't fall - he like the Chuck Norris of cable!! The best is when he lands a huge trick, and 'bounces' into another and finishes it off with another 'bounce' wrapped 360.

Nick, Tampa man, i've joined over to your darkside and got semi-addicted. I can't believe you guys never made me learn them around the corner. BTW i've been doing air tricks to the inside at rixen since before you started riding there lol, i just never liked doing them because i couldnt go as big as you guys

I was out at OWC for wake games and got there super early on Saturday. Nick and his photographer had a private set on the cable at like 8:15am and I was the only one around. I sat on the bench and watched in complete awe...this kid is totally legit. The tricks he throws with the handle in his elbow blow my mind.

I like watching Nick Davies ride.. A lot of these riders coming off the cable into boat tournaments have some serious skills.. I've been saying for years that one of these cable riders is going to shred everyone behind a boat; especially if there are some nice rails and fun boxes in the tournament.

On the cable or behind the boat my favorite rider right now is Tom Fooshee: He is the world cable champion 2 years in a row now, and I hear that he has really put a lot of time behind a boat over the last 2 years too.. He does not show up to many boat tournaments: I only know of one this year: BroStock.. Tom showed up to BroStock and surprised everyone by landing a super huge heel 9 in the double up. You should see the list of riders that placed after him: the list will surprise you. I would bet Tom is going to start the Pro Tour within the next few seasons, and he is going clean house.

There is no question that cable guys can land blind on average better than any of the boat riders out there. I think that is what impresses me the most. Obviously they also have awesome board control and understand line load.

I met him at TSR. He's super cool too. I was having trouble landing a KGB and he gave me a few tips and I landed it that next time.

Tom Fooshee like ken said is bad ass as well. His grabbed pete 5's are amazing. He also landed a new trick he called a "big fatty" I think it's like a grabbed blind s-mobe. They both kill it behind the boat too.

Thanks Wakeplace for sharing all of these great videos.
