Grand Lake Wake Fest & Rock the Dock

A unique wakeboarding event is being held June 22nd – 23rd on Grand Lake in the back of Duck Creek at Ugly Johns Marina. Oklahoma Wake Series, Ugly John’s Thunder Bay Marina, Dick Lanes and Cedar Port Marina are joining forces and combining the Grand Lake Wake Fest and Rock the Dock, bringing this event to a new level, with a day full of intense wakeboarding and music from some of the hottest bands in this area.

Grand Lake Wake Fest will no doubt be the biggest wakeboarding event with a huge crowd, including both wakeboarding followers and people new to the sport, enticed by the thrill of the sport and the enjoyment of the laidback feel of this event.

This event ensures that you will have an incredible day at the lake that you won’t forget, whether you’re competing or just a spectator there just to watch the competitors and listen to the live bands, you won’t want to miss this event. This event is being held at Ugly John’s Thunder Bay Marina in the back of Duck Creek, this is such a great venue. Onsite at their Marina they have The Shack Apparel and Board shop offering you the latest and greatest summer gear. Also, they have Ugly’s Grill and Bar offering delicious food and a fun atmosphere.

This entire event will be off the dock at the marina, so if you have a boat come tie up and join the fun watching the wakeboard competition and listening to the live band. If you don’t have a boat, just bring something to float on in the water. Red Bull is a major sponsor of the Oklahoma Wake Series so there will be free Red Bull for everyone.

Friday June 22nd Registration for all events begins @ 1:00pm. Pay for pulls, Learn to Wakeboard and learn to Wake surf, registration will be located at Dick Lanes of Grand Lake. All ages and all abilities are welcome to join.

Saturday June 23rd Registration begins @ 9:00am, all competitors must be checked in by 10am. Opening ceremonies will begin. There will be fun games every hour on the hour. Also, Ugly John’s will be providing live bands for their “Rock the Dock” concert series, as well as a “Bikini Contest”. Come on out and join us for a fun filled day and night on the water at Ugly John’s Thunder Bay Marina. Awards ceremony will be immediately after the last competitor and will be held at Dick Lane’s of Grand Lake.
