well, after wanting one since i was a little kid, my dream has finally come true.

just got home. almost 8 hours on the road today.

2003 MC X-2 MCX (62 hours)

huge thanks to:

cliff griffin - for putting up with my borderline neurosis and paranoia. ;) but seriously thanks bud. i owe ya. you are a wealth of information.

brett yates, for strate up answers, advice and tipping me on to this deal. thanks man

phat in cincy (paul bros) - pretty much ditto what i said to cliff. thanks man. you haven't heard the last of me. i need a ballast system. :-)

darren lamont - sorry we couldn't connect on a deal. i just couldn't wait to buy new. appreciate your time very much.

last but not least a huge thanks to ryan from action marine in portland for putting up with all my calls, taking time to water test on what had to be one of the crappiest days in portland this year and showing me the basics on the boat. also thanks to action's morgan and randy. if any of you guys are ever up this way, you got my number.

thanks to anybody else who helped me out along the way.

anyway, i'm exhausted. here she is. please excuse my rig. the weather here is garbage. it poured on and off the whole way there and back.

congrats, she looks insane, looks like no rear tanks? was that standard on the x2 that year, who cares just drop some 7 fitties back there and a intagrated bow sac and your dialed. really nice looking boat, again congrats!!! what did you pay?

thanks. someone can correct me if i'm wrong, but 2003 was the only year they offered ballast as an option (at least on this boat). the original owner of this boat whom i bought it from ordered without due to wake enhacement restrictions on his lake. honestly, i'm glad it doesn't have them as i'll do it better.

That is a dope setup, I can't believe she's only got 62 hours!!! It's like they did the break in and took the depreciation hit and you got the dream set up.

Definitely install bags in the rear and if the bow, I regularly ride behind a 2000 and a 2005 with this set up and it is unreal.

hee hee, thanks guys.

hairbandude, no private seller. super busy guy, sold it on consignment through these guys who work/service/store/maintain boats on this lake in portland area. brett yates tipped me off to it. i was at the right place at the right time with my financing all in order. the guy had taken several calls i guess, but most people lost interest when they heard it didn't have factory ballast. i went down after speaking with the guy the next weekend and water tested it. kind of a bummer trip though, my denali got vandelized in the marriott parking garage. dented the door and keyed in two places. sigh. getting that fixed next week.

i ordered my bimini today and will add PP by the end of season. i'll also order up all the fly high bags and stuff this season, but probably won't be able to swing the cash for the insall until after this season. same with sound system. i'll just do it old school with the bags until then. i can live with that for a while and i'm still a noob on the board anyway. super stoked!

/edit oh and sorry she's got 63 hours. ;)
