IT is awesome!!! Marty Terry has one and it is like getting bucked straight up. The wake is huge and clean at speeds over 20 mph and you can use the plate to make it darn near vertical or more subtle. I highly recommend it.

It does have a down side though - Marty has constant problems with the ballast system which is borderline defective. Could just be his particular boat or maybe a problem with manufacturing.

jim, thanks for the post. what kind of problems with the ballast? does the boat just have a rear ballast under the bench seat?

It has soft bags in the rear compartments and one in the keel. The problem that he is having is electrical. Probably a fairly quick fix if he took it in but that is a pain for him considering the distance to the dealership. Otherwise, the boat is tip top and the wake is huge and vertical. If you want to go straight up - this is a good choice.

I have ridden behind a Super Air Nautique (only in saltwater though and I think that makes the wake smaller), a Moomba, and a Tige 23 and the Supra crushes all of them.

i've ridden behind the smaller launch and several different mc x-stars/x-2s. i think the launch wake on the 21 foot is more vertical than the mc wake, but also not as smooth. as long as the 22 foot supra wake is clean, i can probably handle it.

I have a 99' 21'6 Launch DD. We put about 2800lbs of ballast in the boat and it is probably not only the cleanest wake at the wieght but one of the biggest for that size of boat. I love the launch wake and the only other boat I would think about owning is a SAN Team eddition. It has a little more vert to it.
