The reason it is cool is the stuntman aspect of it. Its not particularly difficult to jump like that. Boosting like that is the equivalent to doing your fisrt basic invert in wakeboarding. Its a good accomplishment, but in the grand scheme of wakeboarding it isnt that hard. Kids who ride intermediate do it. However, no matter how good you become at that invert, you never want to try it over a solid object. Sure you can nail it 99% of the time in your sleep, but Murphys law says the one time you try it over a solid object you will duff it.

This guys can jump like that all day, but the fact that he mixed a giant solid object in there is BALLZ. Was it even close? No he left 50yds from the pier, cleared it by 30ft+ and landed 100yds downwind of it. Pretty conservative object from a numbers standpoint. However, one wrong move or bad luck with the wind mid-flight and he could have been slammed into the pier. THATS what makes it intense.
