I was able to take my new board out for the 2nd time, my 3rd time out, this past weekend at my family reunion. was at Bass lake one day...beautiful, but sooooo choppy. the jet skiers didn't seem to care how close they got to us and that was a bit stressful, especially when my lil' nephew was in the water. I've been able to stay up on the willamette, but not on this water. it was a work out. The good thing was, as soon as I got up, I finally got the feel of turning my board and staying behind the boat and not going straight out to the side. my next goal, learning how to absorb more with my knees and getting outside/inside the wake. I was frustrated I couldn't stay up, but felt good to be able to at least get behind the boat. thank you all for your tips. they really have helped.
