XStar Inline Ballast Valves

Picked up the new Xstar a few weeks back and have had it out a few times and I don't think the rear ballast tanks are filling. I was draining the water out of the block the other day and noticed that the inline valves were turned up so the lever is | . I was thinking that the lever should be --. Can someone please verify for me on an 09?

Our old X2 only had one inline valve, but this one has two on either side of the motor. I am pretty confident that the front tank is filling.

Are you talking about the thru-hull valve that supplies the pumps with water from the bottom of the boat? If so, then the lever should always be in-line with the direction of flow for open, and across the direction of flow for closed. Hope I explained it well enough...

I am talking about the through hull valves. The valves are a little different than the ones on my 06. I will have to take a look at them again, but what you are saying makes sense.

Right now they are in an up position, so if you are looking at them the valve handle is " | " versus what I think should be a down position " - ".

Stop by or give the dealer a call.
The dealer should help answer all these questions, etc.
