Bet it's either a new prototype or he got dropped and its some other company's board. I know tons of insanely good snowboarders have been getting dropped from teams.

A little off topic here but what trick was it that Parks threw, it looked like an S bend but in the opposite direction.

I wonder if its a new Roam. Looked like it had a wood core and he seems to ride that board quite often.

I saw ruck riding that board at OWC a couple months ago.

Ruck is still with hype. They dropped his pro model due to lack of sales. It just didnt work for a lot of riders. Last I heard he was riding the B-Side, which I would reccomend to everyone.

I think ruck will be staying with Hype and the board in the vid appears to be the new prototype. With as much as he likes the roam, I could see him doing a "Flex" style board for 2011, for both wake and rails. So we will just have to wait and see

Derek, thursday night on the murr show he said he had to leave for the boat show in the AM for the hyperlite booth so let me personally stop those rumors before they start. The board is a prototype Rucky is working on for next year. As you know Ruck had "his own" pro model for a few years, which was really just Harf's old premier. Basically being that better stuff was out, it wasn't selling well so it was taken down. Now Rucky is getting to test a board of his own and knowing him, he likes to pop big with minimal effort but also loves the Roam so we might be looking into Hyperlites first flex board ;) ;). Yewwwwwwwwwwww Ruck

Hyperlite's first flex board? The Roam doesnt count?

I'm guessing what he meant is first flex board designed more for wake to wake rather then the roam.

Ben, the Roam isn't really "wake" friendly lol

Tell that to Jason Callen, who can do every trick in the book on the roam behind the boat.

I loved the roam on the wake too... thats all I used for years... its like any flex board, once you can control the flex it is awesome.... I hated the 2nd gen though

foam, wood, foam, wood, foam?

might be that "sandwich" construction that is gaining ground, which still can be arranged for a very stiff board from what we have learned with company, humanoid and phalanx

dang, its too early to get worked up for 2011. normally this doesn't happen till late summer ;)
