looking for new boat?

I'm in the market for a new boat. I am new to wakeboarding and the boats right now I'm behind a I/o (boo) regretting that decision. Anyway just wondering what the best hardcore wakeboard boats are

Yea I wish I could afford the g23 but price range is more around 35k

Pretty much all the boats are great these days. All have their advantages and disadvantages. If you plan on surfing the new systems by Malibu and Nautique really set them apart in my book. They not only have amazing wakeboard wakes but now both have great surf wakes without listing the boat a ton. I wouldn't be surprised if the other companies have something up their sleeves for 2014. I would expect Supra to have something, Mastercraft have something better than they currently have(surf tabs) and Centurion has already come out with an adjustable tracking fin to accomplish the same thing. Some seem to ride better in rough water(MB, Centurion, Tige, Sanger, Supreme) while some seem to have cleaner/consistant wakes at low speeds like Malibu, the new Supra, and most of the mastercrafts.

If by hardcore you mean best wakeboard wake I would think a list of boats to at least look at should look like this:

I was about to ask what type of budget you have, but you only said "new boat" and "hardcore wakeboard boat", so I guess that pretty much narrows it down to the G23. I'm tempted to throw the new Xstar in there just because I'm an MC owner, but if I had the money I'd go with the G23. Hands down.

Sorry I should have said new to me I could probably swing 40k but trying to stay around 35k we will probably surf a little as well but wakeboarding mostly I really like a wake that will boost me I like a lot of hang time to do slow spins long grabs

I heard the San 210 has a good wake but I don't know the best years

The nautique Supersport/Super Air nautique(SAN) 210 all had the same hull from 1995(I think is the first year) to 2006. I believe the 2002/2003 are considered the best but I could be wrong on that. It has more to do with narrow gunnels which make it roomier inside the boat. I personally would look for a Tige 22v. They are suppose to have an awesome wake with ballast that is pretty steep but will have far more room inside than a SAN, ride better in rough water than a SAN and surf better than a SAN. The quality of those era Nautiques was probably better than the Tige but I am not sure by how much.

A sanger V215 would also be a boat that would have all those same advantages of the Tige over the Nautique and will also have a great wake from what wakeworlder's have said.

How's the Sanger v230?

I've been wanting to narrow it down to a few different boats so my searching can be more specific the biggest problem I have is I live in Nebraska so I can't drive or ride behind very many boats as there is not a lot to chose from around me

I don't know much about the Sanger V230. I think it is just a bigger version of the V215.

For the money, I would stick to an MC 205v hull or a CC Super Air Nautique 210. Late 90s to early 00's. Both put out nearly unbeatable wakes, can be found for sub $30k, and hold their value very well. My 14yr old MC 205v looks better than most 4yr old boats. All original upholstery, except sun deck because I chose to convert it from a one piece to a 3 piece. And the boat gets used consistently. I just passed the 1,000hr mark this season. She'll easily go another 1,000.

Ya should look in the 25 k range cuz you know your gonna want to get that stereo slappin' so gonna need some rev10s on there.

If wakeboard wake and quality are your only priorities The SAN210 and 205V hull are hard to beat. That said both are small and have little storage. Especially the 205V. The 205V is probably the worst rough water vdrive boat to date. It will however ski ok. Both the SAN and the 205V are holding their value very good although I would argue all Vdrives in the sub 40-50k range are holding their value very well.

I am not trying to argue against the SAN or 205V boats as they are both legendary but I really think there are other boats that do close to the same things wake wise but are a lot bigger, surf better and ride better in rough water.

I usually would ride with 3-5 people on a regular maybe 7-8 max on holiday weekend or something. Another thing i've been wondering about is when your adding more weight like fat sacs or anything else i dont want them all over the floor taking up a bunch of room. Remember i'm really new to all this so i have a lot of questions and i dont really know anyone to help me out so i'm trying to take in as much info as i can. I am a beginner rider but want a boat that i can really progress my riding on
