She's a '67 Camaro with the original, never been rebuilt 327. It ran fairly well, but had 1 dead cylinder and a ton of play in the timing chain. Time for a rebuild!

I had one with a 302... That motor would run up to over 10 grand stock... It loved high rpms. Most people have never heard of a 302 Chevy.

that is awesome!
Isn't a 327 a 350 w/a 302 crank? shorter stroke w/larger cylinder. maybe I'm thinking of something else. I like the rs w/the headlight covers.
Mecum Auctions is going to be in Houston next weekend. I'd love to go w/a wad of cash!

no Alan, I'm going to restore the 327. Eventually I'd like to do an LS conversion and a complete modern chassis. I haven't decided if this one will get all those mods. It is a matching # all original sheet metal car. The only thing ever done to it was new seat covers. It still has the original paint. I bought it from the second owner. He only sold it because he found a '67 RS/SS from the original owner. He didn't have room for both.

I love the late 60's Muscle. Check out my 1968 Firebird (Yes - its a mullet and white reebox). We did a frame up restoration in High School.

Here is a link for a rebuild: http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te...d/viewall.html

327 with some afr heads pushing over 500 hp will make for some fun. Here is my old 67 SS with my then son and on the cover, I now have a 71 with a LT1 vette drive train for my sons first car planning on selling to find another 67 rs/ss

I decided to pull the engine and trans for a complete overhaul. I am keeping everything stock. Most of my friends want me to put a bigger cam in it and go with the 4 barrel, but I like her just the way she is.
A buddy of mine owns an MG/Jag restoration shop. He is letting me use his parts washer and media blaster. I gotta get me one of those!

thanks Alan. I did upgrade to the HEI distributor and the upgraded valve guides. I am now waiting on a back ordered part for the transmission rebuild. I can hopefully drop it back in next weekend. If not, it will certainly be at some point before June!
