Water Staining my boat!!!

So i dunno if its someting in my lake water or just the fact my boat is older or what but where my boat sits in the water im gettin this light brownish tint of stain on my boats hull Any quick and easy remedies or is it gonna be a JOB!!! Thanks for the input!

You need hull cleaner, any marine shop has it.. Follow directions 100%... Goggles, gloves...

easy fix. just buy some hull cleaner. mix in in a spray container. spray on rinse off. the brown will be gone.

I just used this hull cleaner from a marine shop last night on mine. it was super easy to do and took all the stains right off.



Get a brush for washing cars, put a little of the hull cleaner in plastic tub, dip the end of the brush in and rub it on the boat. it literally removes the stains in about 10 seconds. Then just rise it off with water. Took me about 20 minutes to do the whole boat.

You might want to wax it afterwards though, that will help slow down the staining process next time.

Wax helps a ton! Keeps the stuff from growing on the hull & it helps clean it off easier.

All the stain removers are acids which will work. You can also use toilet bowl cleaner, also a mild acid, which I prefer because it is more viscous and cheaper. Make sure you rinse thoroughly and I always wax afterwards.

+1 for Sno Bol. Don't let it get on your trailer though (or rinse it off quickly if you do).
