Love that rule! Of course since I'm the only wakeboarder in my family I'm the only one that does it!

I know Shaun and Travis have this rule as well. An Shaun even follows it every time. It’s the best rule in the book.

so you do the robot if you miss a handle pass or let go of the rope or somethin? hahah
i dont really get it.

Basically Jeff, if you let go of the handle before you're in a postion of falling with no way of recovery (so you're still on your board on top of the water), you have to do the robot as you slowly sink. The rule is, never let go until you know there's no way in hell you're going to ride away from it.

Personally, I think it's a fantastic rule.

Robot rule is awesome! Keeps me holding on that much longer so I don't have to give into the defeat of Robot!

wakeboardSTL always enforces the "Robot" rule. We were actually there at the Boarding School with Chuck H. and Brandon. P when it was introduced. wakeboardSTL has since modified to include various other manuevuers (sp).

The robot stopped working for us so now you have to ride the pony or very aggressive stripper either way it is funny

sweet I think the agressive stripper is a must also. I think everyone on the crew should have to do something different

We do the robot here on the central coast, and we also do weapons charades and people in the boat have to guess what weapon it was.
Old     (fletch_tx)      Join Date: Aug 2003       05-20-2007, 10:56 PM Reply
hahaha...weapons charades....nice!

we've been doing the robot so much lately that I don't think it was working well today....definitely need something new....

I'll have to try out the Weapons Charades! The "Over the shoulder Bazooka" has to be a regular?

You know I have nothing but love for Wiz and the rest of the East, TN crew.

Wiz - long time no talk, hit me up man. Aaron should be coming to Knoxville area to pick up his new Malibu in a few weeks, we should try and meetup with you and JHILL for a day and ride.

CORRECTION - We were actually there at the Boarding School with Wiz, JHILL, Chuck H., and Brandon. P when it was introduced. wakeboardSTL has since modified to include various other manuevuers (sp).

Lost, what the hell is a "stripper?" I know the occupation version, but the trick eludes me......

It is the best rule ever.

And entertaining either way -- was with one funny dude at the Boarding School that had done a number of robots in a set and finally was just telling Travis to bring it on... lol.

yall come up with the best stuff. Then you try to tell peeps on this board that you dont blaze? Seriously!

Had to pull my first robot of the season this past weekend. Sure makes it a hell of a lot more fun when you don't take yourself too seriously out there. Then my buddy introduced the fake make-out as he was sinking with his back to the boat. Good times!

The robot is a must on my boat. If you sink without giving your best robot the driver is allowed to wash you out with a wake. Rarely does anyone forget....

It's all in fun - I think the weapons charades might be a great twist though....

who invented this move? I have been busting it for 3 seasons now. I've spread the rule with riders from coast to coast and possibly feel it originated in Arizona.

Not trying to take any credit, just curious because I've enforced the rule to all kinds of people that said they will spread it. Kinda funny when we were seeing guys on bayliners pulling the robot.

The dirty bird goes over well too when the robot has been used too much.
