How many of you run your rig threw the car wash.
The place's I take my rig to are all brushless. (no machine touches the car) A machine sprays soap and water on it and its hand washed and then the dryer blow's the car dry.

I take mine to the coin wash and scrub by hand. I always makes sure to tape off the gas safety outlet just in case.

I take it through a soft cloth- brushless never seems to get it clean, especially that black caddy of yours (I've got a black LTZ so I know what you're up against). It probably isn't so good for the paint, but it's a truck so who really cares.

I always run the rig through the local car wash. NOthing gets it cleaner. They just got a new hot wax machine. You can see it on the hood in this picture.

My family owns a full service car wash, I can tell you I would not let a brushless was my car, and let them dry it. You can not get a car clean of the small debris from a brushless and when they dry it there will be scratches, if they don't dry it, it will not be clean. Find a wash that uses all cloth and is a nice bussines. By nice I mean clean and kept up, a car wash like this prob has very big bucks invested and care about your car.

My parents also own carwashes, none of our carwashes are full service though. They are all self serve with an automatic car wash. Our automatic car wash is brushless and does a great job. All i can say is stay away from the cheaper run down brush car washes i know they can really cause some major swirl marks and damage.

An automatic car wash is quick and easy, but if you really want your rig perfect you are going to have to do it by hand yourself.

never.

If I'm too lazy to do it myself I'll pay someone the $20 to hand wash it.

Truck goes to the brushless car wash... Car gets hand washed.

It just takes too long to wash my truck. For $25 it's totally worth getting it back in 10 minutes. Not only that, but the carwash that I go to offers an undercarriage wash for $5 extra thats great for when I'm coming home from the snow.
