Formula Boats - Opinions Wanted

Does anyone have one of these or know anything about them? Pretty high end boat. I have a friend that deals in these boats and he is really excited about them. Anyone know about the wake?

$75k for an Inboard/Outboard with no ballast system? Yikes.

If it exhibits the characteristics of a normal I/O, then you'll fight with the wake trying to make it right until you sell the boat.

I've been behind some pretty decently sized i/o wakes but in the end no matter what you do they cannot compare to the wake behind the right inboard.

They looks like cool boats though and I'm sure they could be fun for a lot of other reasons.

I hope your friend does well with his dealership!

The best I/O iv'e ever ridden behind was a 1992 24' Celebrity witha pylon. Great solid wake. That is all.

Josh said it well.

Compared it to something like a MC X45, throw both of them into a turn, I doubt you will ask why. Cheap I/Os are decent for wakeboarding, at this level get the real deal, unless you are not really into boarding. At the end of the day driving an I/O your arm will be sore from working the throttle.

There is no way I could give up my Malibu, but I just found it interesting that a boat manufacturer with a history like theirs (racing) would get into (kinda) the wakeboat arena.
