OWC Next Weekend

I'm heading out to OWC next Saturday (12-11-04), wondering if anyone has been there lately and could let me know about the water temp. Should bring a wetsuit? It's getting cold up in the Panhandle (around 40 at night and 60's - 70's in the day).

If anyone else is going to be out there holla at me, I'll be the guy getting my a$$ kicked by the sliders...

I'll most likely be out there. I used my shorty suit for the first time recently so I'd suggest that you bring it along. The water temp isn't bad yet but if the humidity is low even the high 70's can be chilly without a suit.

Don't forget your helmet, and if you have metal fins on your board you'll have to take them off for sliding. Composite or plastic are ok, but anything over about an 1" may be awkward on the sliders.

Cool, I figured that I better bring it. I should be good with the fins since I ride an old Byerly finless. I don't have a helmet, if I remeber correctly they do rent them there right? Otherwise I'll buy one, whatever...

Yeah, they rent. I think it's about 5 or 6 bux a day.

Look for me. I'll be the old guy with a white baseball cap type helmet and wearing it the wrong way (i.e. not backwards). Like in my profile only not black.
