recently bought a new boat - a 2009 Moomba Outback V. Couple options I included were a wakeplate and the new gravity 3 ballast system. My question is this... Why is it that: when I have just the driver in the boat and someone surfing (9.8 mph, wake plate up), a fantastice wave is produced with just 450 lbs of ballast in the rear corner. when I have six people in the boat and someone surfing (9.0 mph, wakeplate up), I need 750lbs in the rear corner and also need to fill the front 400 lb sac in order to get a fantastic wave in the rear. This seems odd to me, like it ought to be the other way around.
