I know this might have been done, but I cant seem to find a thread. I was looking for people that have ridden both and their thoughts. I have ridden the Recoil and liked it, but was told the Severance had smaller fins. Feedback please.

I have ridden both the Severance and the Recruit. The Severance is a little slower then the recruit due to having a 3 stage rocker line. It also comes with only the option of two fins on each end. The recruit comes with the option of a third (center) fin on each end. It also has a speedy continuous rocker. It lands a little faster and takes holds onto the wake just a little longer due to the longer fins and the option of the third. You can still load the tail on the recruit and make it pop similar to what a normal 3-stage rocker would (in my opinion). All in all I prefer the recruit with just the outside two fins. Fast, lands soft and has tons of pop.

.... or you could put the smaller response/reflex fins on your recoil. Just sayin.. Call SS they will give you the DL.

Bizz, good info thanks..I have ridden the Sev maybe should ride Recruit and really see the difference, I figured with the flex and all and loading that the Sev still has soft landings and you dont always have to hit it on the sweet spot all the time
