Is there a product that can help your boat's interior from drying out. The vinyl in my last boat seemed real dry and started to crack all over. We live in a real dry climate and I'm worried the new boat is going to do the same thing. Would an armorall type product help? or is there a product for this specific purpose?

Try this, I've heard nothing but good about this stuff. Pretty expensive, but you can get it at a decent price from E-Bay.... http://www.303products.com/main.php?infopage=protectant

I've heard good things about it, does it help prevent the vinyl from drying out too?

I'm not sure if it moisturizes. If your vinyl is dried out already, maybe apply some moisturizer then hit it with 303.

Add another "yep" for 303 Protectant. That stuff rules, and is the only protectant recommended in the care guide for my new Supra I bought last year.

You could try one of those auto vinyl conditioners/creams , then protect w/ 3030, not to sure about 3030's "moisturizing" properties.

The drying and cracking on your vinyl is not really from the air drying it out. Well...it may be a bit. What it is from is the cleaning chemicals and sunlight eating away at the vinyl. I live in a horribly humid environment (80% humidity is the least we see, usually 90-95%) and we had a pontoon boat that the seats cracked and completely fell apart. This was due to me not knowing any better and using 409 to clean and armor-all to protect. NEVER do that. As per my 2004 Supra vinyl care guide, use ONLY Fantastik to clean and Formula 303 to protect. So now, after each use I wipe the seats with Fantastik and apply a generous coating of 303 and rub it in.
Do not use any kind of petroleum based product to clean or moisturize. 303 may be expensive, but it is not as expensive as reupholstering the boat.

Second Tiffanator. I clean with Fantastik and follow up with 303. My vinyl feels as good as new. I put 303 on it every weekend.

Anybody tried the Mr. Clean magic eraser yet?

I've heard Mr. Clean magic pads are good with tough stains and convenient. but I don't know how safe the chemicals would be on your stitching. I DO know for a fact that Armor-all will cause your stitching to tear. so that like tiffanator said. good to know its all petroleum based products.
thx, tiff
