I've been to OWC but I'm thinking of going to Texas Ski Ranch this summer for a change. Anyone been to both? Are they both pretty much the same deal or would you say one is better than the other? How about the city of New Braunfels in general? Is there stuff to do at night once you are done playing at the cable park? I know they have a pretty badass water park so I'll definitely check that out too if I go.

New Braunfels is a fun town!! I've spent alot of time up there, and around the San Marcos area is some pretty dope stuff! Austin's not far, and the scene on 6th street is pretty fun!! TSR is def a nice park though!

it's only half hour or so from austin...flights into austin from around here (oakland, sf or sac) are pretty cheap so we'll go right into austin

being from austin 6th street is a must and the water park in newbraunfels, called schlitterbahn, you can spend an entire day at and you wont be able to do everything it is the #1 waterpark in the world

I personally like OWC better than TSR but TSR is a lot closer to me. Austin and San Antonio are both fun places to check out for something different. Lots of culture you don't and probably won't in in Orlando. Like Andy said, Schlitterbahn is cool and so is floating the rivers in New Braunfels in a tube along with a cooler of beer surrounded by lots of other people doing the same. Takes relaxation to whole 'nother level to just float down a river for 4 hours, drinking beers and resting up from riding the cable all day.

I haven't been to TSR yet (going for freezeride) but the only thing I don't like about OWC is that there's no island and the water seems to get pretty choppy with the wind and 6 people riding the cable at once.

I was at TSR last year in March. The water temp was above 60. It is really shallow and warms up quick.

If you guys are still coming down and want to hitch a ride on one of the new Nautiques then let me know jr. If I for some reason can't get out the new 230, then we have a 210 and and a Sport Nautique to play on for sure.
