I was just curious if anyone knows how much a cable park costs saying you have land and a body of water to put it on? The system 2.0 is like 30K but could you really use that fulltime?

$500,000+ for a real 4-6 tower system is what I have heard, then you have insurance and other operating costs

Yes you could use the System 2.0 full time. A complete cable system right now is $350,000 for just the system then you have to put in all the concrete to hold them.

System 2.0 = ~30,000 + land
Big one = ~500,000 + land

so say if you started a cable park with a system 2.0 in hopes to grow to a big system once business was flowing would you pay to ride system 2.0 for a summer or 2 or until the big cable system would be inserted?

You aren't going to get rich off of it. Most cable parks in themselves are not huge money makers from what I have been told. It is the Pro Shop attached to it where you will make your money.

Think about it, If you charge $35.00 for the day which not many people would pay for just a sesitec system because who wants to pay $35.00 to wait in line?

It would take you 10,000 customers to get to the start level of $350,000 throw in Insurance and cost to settle lawsuits which you will have (every cable does)

I just don't think it is a money making idea. Just my .02 though.

I think if someone had 2/3 System2.0 going at a time, cap it at like 5/6 ppl per cable... besides initial costs you wouldn't have to spend much other than insurance...they are cheap to run.

You can run 2 ppl at a time correct?... so figure even 6 people on to use one... charge in like 2 hr blocks... I think quite a few people would ride it, given you had good rails and whatnot.

i hear it would take about 1 mililon to get a park built, insured and open plus some of that to float it for the first year.after that you better be making some positive cash flow to keep it a float.

Yeah sliders get expensive real quick! Especially if you use HDPE

thanks for the info. I was just curious of the cost. I would love to open one but lack the finacial backing. If i win the lottery Im game. In NE ohio there is no cable parks at all. the closest one is the new one going in in cinci and that 4 hrs away.

Man up and drive Snippy. I drive almost 5 hours from the St. Louis area to ride at KC Watersports all the time. Most likely will make the 5 hour drive from St. Louis to Cincy at least once this year to ride there too.
