Looking at a 2007 Sanger V210 and will be doing alot of surfing, anyone rode behind one. More concerned about regular side, no goofy's on our boat.

I surf behind an 05 V210. We get a nice surf wake with a 280lb Fly High Wedge sack in the rear locker, we fill the center ballast and put a big block bag in the bow and people on the side you surf on. We usually have a crew of 3 but I have had as many as 10 people on one side. I think around 5 to 7 people make an ideal surf wake. I have been riding both sides this year and they surf the same. I am also working on riding heelside this season.

yes, i have surfed an '05 v210 (don't know if it's the same hull as on '07), both a nice goofey and regular surf wake, can't remember exactly how much ballast, but it seemed like it didn't take alot of ballast relative to other 21's that I have been in (including my 21v), it's not the '09 VLX surf wake, but it's pretty nice.

The V210 does make a nice wake with less ballast. There are trade offs between the bigger surf boats and mine. I have surfed behind a 23 foot Wakesetter and it was awesome. For us it was all about what V drive we could afford new. There are nicer, bigger surf boats out there, but I can make the payments on mine without working in the summer. We take it on the road all over North Idaho and Montana. When you pull a boat as much as we do, a smaller boat is really nice.

Thanks RJ! Here is a pic of the wave from the same day as the previous one. Only a driver and a spotter. The driver is sitting on the passenger side up behind the windshield, steering with his foot. We had the lake to ourselves that day. It really helps the wake when everyone is on the side you surf on. Also the depth of the water seems to make a big difference. If I remember correct it is shallow there.

Sanger has not changed the V-210 hull since it came out in '95 or '96. I have a '99, and my brother has an '07 ...identicle

Sanger's theory ~ IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT! (too bad CC didn't use the same judgment on their 210)

We surf ours a lot without much weight, and it also seems to be just as good on port or starboard.

Does anyone have pictures of the surf wake from a older v230? Thanks
Duffy
