Whos been towed the shallowist .Stupid stories.

Well Im on the lake with some friends of mine and we go out every year. They have both owned boats and I thought they where pretty familiar with the lake and have pulled me around several times but last weekend I got learned to not take things for granted. As I'm up on the board doing my novice tricks riding the wake pulling hard in the glass and just taking it kinda easy I notice where kinda low in the channel and arond that shallow water danger bouy well 2 sec later I see it. On the wrong side of the boat!!! I do the cut it sighn and all but its too late I know she seen it too and was going about 10 when everything stops and I look down too see that Im playing Jesus. That was the saddest I had felt in a while. I "walk" up to the boat and my friend who is yelling at everyone. WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS!!! WHY DO THEY ONLY HAVE ONE STUPID BOUY!!!! Apoligizing to me and about to cry. Well we get everyone out of the boat and it looks like the top of the prop down is about the extent of the part of the boat you can see in the 1 foot of water and it was just sand and mud (BTW its a 87 Webbcraft Inboard so deeper V and prop). Luckily we where
able too flag another boat down and he had a 90 hp outboard so he could get pretty close we tied it up and looked like the dumbest people on the water but we got it moving inch by inch pushing with all our might. It finally edged out and I was waiting for it to start sinking but got in and started it up and everything seemed to check out. No prop spin and no water in th bilge we was all sweating bullits and so relieved when it plained out and we got it on our lift it looked fine and I flushed it out pretty good. So far no problems as the biggest issue I can see is prop spin and mud clogging. If anyone else has a funny stupid story to post here's you chance.

theres a rock in a shallo part of our lake, i was on my friens boat and they were letting a new person drive. regardless of what i said, he went to the right of the channel (shallowest). next thing you know, the boat starts thudding and the boat will not move fast at all. we take it to the dock, put it on the lift and..well...lets just say it used to be a 3 blade prop, now its a no blade.

My friend was pulling me inside the buoy area. An i was cutting out heel side and not paying attention and i become a beached whale. I hit the beach and just flew. It wasn't funny to me but to them in the boat it was absolutely hilarious.

My chinese wakeboarding friend pulled me through less that 10" of water last season. Back me up Benny P!

Oh come on what's not to love about the good old wipeout to "Oh wow" as you stand up and the water is just below your knees?

We were at a local lake and I attempted a back roll, didn't quite make it and it knocked the wind out of me. One of my buddies jumped in to help me out of my bindings and asked if I het the ground or the water, when I asked why he stood up and it was just over waist deep.

Man we used to have a webcraft. I loved that boat and I tell my dad everyday he should of kept it to let me use now.

We were boarding in this cove we found and my friend swears it is deep. His depth finder claims it is like 40 feet deep on the edges and we are in texas. I was like I don’t think so but what ever it has to be good enough. It is kind of small and we take a big swoop to get the full advantage of the area. So later the depth finder starts reading numbers I know are not right so we check it out. Come to find out I am boarding in some areas that are only like a foot deep. I was very glad I didn't fall because I am sure there were tons of fallen trees all around where I was at under the water.

My first trip to lake san antonio (cal)-awsum trip, great water. Time to load up and go home. My son in law drives the boat to the ramp (wrong ramp). Daughter drives car over to tell him Im at the other ramp. He sees a jet boat do a quick turn around on the ramp and figures he could also. Well after I got the boat out and was cleaning up I notice the 3 blades are now only about 2 inches long. DOH!!!!!

last year, i tell my friend "Stay away from this island, theres sand bars all around it"

i dock start near the island, he then takes a wide turn and is right next to the island, im boarding, and the i look at the boat and it just stops! im thinking "WTF is he stopping for?" then i fall and hit the ground, it was not even a foot deep....

we removed the swim platform, 3 of us got under the boat and benched it to get it unstuck of the mucky water

one time when i was wakeboarding and i got in the boat and then i was driving my friend and he was riding doubles with this girl who is now my girlfriend and they were riding doubles and the water got shallow and i looked over the side and it was really shallow and the boat was going fine and nobody saw anything and then the wake went really low like we were in really shallow water and i just kept going and then all of sudden someone said something like it's really shallow but i wasn't paying attention so i just kept driving and then it got deep again so we just kept going and then i'll tell you what happened i turned the corner into a cove and there was this fisherman standing there and he started flipping us off so we went over to him and he wanted to fight so i jumped out of the boat and i kicked him like i would when i was 10 playing street fighter 2 and when he got mad he said that he wanted to go wakeboarding so i let him ride my board and he was going huge busting huge air raleys and hoochies and bat wings to blind and then he fell right by his boat so he kicked the board off and went on his way fishing again so i decided i would take a pull so this guy was pulling me and was sticking everything so i decided i would go for a whirly but it was too late and i woke up.

where is toolfan? He has a good shallow water story.

LOL! Thane, that's one LONG sentence. I'm reading your post, imagining that you are telling me this in person, and it's like you're on crack, or just a really good caffeine buzz. The lack of punctuation makes it seem like you are talking really fast. Sorry. I have a habit of being like an annoying English teacher sometimes... No offense intended. I just got a kick out of it. I'm sure you don't give a crap about punctuation on WW.

Had one last night.

I was a third with a guy i ride with off and on. My buddy was driving the boat owner and it got real shallow real quick. Fortunately it's VERY soft bottom and we ended up stopping almost immediately so no damage. Still had to push the damn boat out of one-two feet of water on a Wed night for about 20 minutes.

Barefooting north of Big River (just north of Blythe) behind a friends barefoot outboard. Fell and stood in waist deep water. Glad you skip when you fall barefootin'.

Location: Laughlin Nevada on the river just south of the Casinos

Time: Early morning (before they open up Davis Dam for the day)

Who: Stupid me driving down river in my old jet boat with a rider in tow

What: Let's just say I hit the key before we hit the 6 inch deep water table.

Result: No damage to the jetboat! Just some great scars on the wakeboard from coming to a stop on the rock bottom.

my friend and i were takin turns pulling everyone in our outlaw class at a contest at paradise lakes in bakersfield. i was pullin chris wiiliams (owner of the boat), and we had so many people in the boat that it would chinelock in the turns. well i came into the turn the first time and it chinelocked hard and we went straight into the shore. did it two times in a row.

haha! Im glad you chimed in. It seems everytime Im learning a board sport he attempts to assassinate me (think snowboarding in N.C, im sitting, he is going mach 7, board in my back...ouch) Im headed to the lake!

We built a 6' A-frame in Hollister CA in about 6" of water. Basically a huge hit in a big puddle. Pulled it with a truck on shore. Falling off the top of that thing hurts, A lot!
