I have a few ?'s for the 2001 experts. If i wanted to take the wood off of my 87 then what is something that would look good and cover the holes at the same time.

I also have a monster tower that should be in anyday. I am looking for help, advice, or maybe just a heads up abotu installation.

One last ? i am goping to be pushing about 1100 pounds of ballast and two to four people in the boat. Would it be a huge difference it i added a four blade prop.

It was a monster difference when I put on a 3 blade Acme 542!! I run just under around 1800 in extra weight.

Hey MAC does your wake have a little aprox. 2inch lip right at the crest of it with that much wieght? Today I had three fat sacs at about 1300-1500 pounds (a guess) and my wake had a lip that just threw me off.. I had never seen it before and I was wondering if yours did that or if I should change my speed. Thanks Jeff

Hey Jeff I'm not sure. Can you get a pic of your wake sometime? Here is a pic of mine running close to the same as yours. This was when I first got it and we changed the configuration up a little. Mainly just more weight.

Water wasn't that smooth in the pic either so it's hard to tell.

Mac
I am not familiar with the three blade acme 542. I just bought my boat and it came with a brand new three blade OJ. Is there a big difference in the two? Also why would you stay with a three blade instead of going with a four. I dotn know alot about imboards so give me the run down.

MAC I will try and get a pic sometime but it was the first time running that amount of wieght. I think I will just put more water in the sacs they were close but not full. And Stephen I called ACME and talked to some one there and they suggested the 542 (thanks for the help MAC) and I love the new prop. Just got to figure out the lip thing now.....haha Jeff

here you go. gatorgrip you get from chris at www.wakejunky.com.
from what i understand the new cnc process makes the new 3 blades better than a 4 blade because they have more surface than a four blade. without the drag of another blade. before cnc they couldnt do it because of balance problems.
and the peaky top of your wake sounds like you need to move the weight forward. or put some under the bow.

I have a sub a 60# bag of cement and 2 amps and a optima battery. with no sacs in the boat it rides nose heavy....haha I think I got enough up there in the nose. I will try and move my side sacs farther forward, It was the first time out with all three sacs. And I really like your boat 88 its beutiful. Jeff

Is there anywhere you can get other colors. My boat is maroon and i would prefer that color. Also did it take anyhting special to cut in those cup holders in your boat. Where did you get the holders. Your boat looks really nice by the way

chris quit doing reds. said it faded.
hole saw 2 7/8 i think. had to use the little drink holders cause didnt have much room. bought em at boaters world for 1.99 ea. i also added one for the driver, between windshield and dash and one to match it on the passenger side.

I recently just bought a 82 sn2001 and I have a few questions maybe you guys can answer.

Where does the hour meter hook to the engine. My hour meter doesnt seem to working and I will going to check the connection to the engine/transmission.

Also how do you replace the impeller?

One more question, my temperature gauge originally didnt work, but I took the sensor off the engine and cleaned it, and now it reads but stays at 100 and never moves off it, except when the key is turned off. Anyone dealt with this. It seems like the engine is warming up.

Yea I was thinking my next boat will be a SS or if I'm doing really good a used SAN but who knows I may find another little diamond like I have now. I bet a tower like mine on your boat would look incredible!!! And then maybe a black bimini with two white stripes? Anyways have fun with her!!
