Lookin to shoot (...or have friends shoot me more so) high quality HD footage and I saw a video on here in the pics/vids section the other day labeled 300fps. From what I know 300fps and more are good for slow mo quality...?

The question of the day is what camera should I get that is 300fps or more on a budget...

the question is; do you have a price limit?

Oh and my buddy that owns FrontsideFilms traded in his old cameras (about $3k per camera) for a stil camera to shoot video from cuz he said they are "that good" (nikon or cannon can't remember)... And didn't know if this would be a better route to go

Quality high speed cameras are big money. The Epic those guys shot the 300fps footage with costs $58k not including lenses or other essentials.

You are not gonna find a 300fps camera on a budget, at most probably a 60fps...

the 300 fps on that camera states it at a very low resolution, not hd...

Some of sony's "handycam" consumer cameras have a super-slo feature that can shoot in 1080i 240fps but only for about 4 seconds, I have used it quite a bit before and it actually works quite well as you don't normally use more than 4 seconds of 240fps footage, i have some samples of it if you want to see. I have also taken the 240fps and put it into Twixtor and have gotten really clean 480fps footage as well.

Buy a Canon 5D mark II and teach yourself how to use Twixtor
