When I first bought my boat the boat cover that came with it was nice. unfortunately moisture started to get under the cover in very cold nights. Also last year when it rained the few days we got rain, it seemed like the cover didnt hold out the water either. Ended up busting out the wet vac. My question is, is there a product I have to put on the cover to make it water repellent? or do I have to take it to some shop to have them do something?. When I first bought the boat it repelled EVERYTHING!, even the neighbors cat's. Any input is cool,Thanks

Clean with a mild soap in an industrial washing machine or pressure wash it. When dry, coat the inside with a water proofer such as 303' fabric guard. Buy the gallon and use a clean pump up garden sprayer.

Marine stores carry water-repellant for boat covers. I've used it once and it worked pretty well -- I think the brand I used was star-brite, and I used about a 12" paint roller to apply while the cover was laying on the garage floor. One big jug should be enough, costs about $40. Good luck!

I've used a variety of different water repellent products over the years. Most covers need it after a while. I wish I could recall the name brand of the products but they work so well you could probably make a paper towel water repellent.
You might call a local upholstery shop & ask if they have anything.

Dont know why the forum edited what I typed, it should have read "303's High Tech fabric guard"

I appreciate the advice people. On my way to the store, I better do this before it rains.
