What is the best method of getting carpet re-glued in a "high use" area? I have a spot that has come unglued where feet swivel when walking around the hood. I was thinking that it might be OK to razor down the middle making a pie of 4 pieces, applying glue to the floor and carpet, then to the edges of the cuts, and then laying it all back down in place.

Thoughts?

Yo Steve! If you do that you will definately have visible seams can they can pull up later. Pull it up from the gunnel under the floor board, if it was like mine it came right up. I used water resistant 3M contact cement to place the new carpet down. Is yours wood floor? If it is you might find areas where the resin has worn down so you might have to re-resin a bit. Looking at your pics your carpet looks just like mine was so be careful as mine was brittle.

You redid your carpet?

Got pics? Did you cut out the main areas and replace, or did you go all the way on it?
