We are planning a weekend camping trip near tin top in a few weeks, but I can't find any information anywhere about where to camp. Any suggestions from anybody?

Whoaa...what's Tin Top?

I'm not sure if there's any camping right around the river. I'm pretty sure most of it is private property. But technically you are allowed to camp on the shore as it is considered part of the river. If you can't find anything at Tintop, Weatherford and Granbury are both pretty close.

Sorry I'm not much help. But have a good time. It's a great spot. Don't tell to many people about it lol.

I ride there all the time and I have yet to see camping spot. My buddy has some property out there so that is where we stay.

So I assume by camping on shore you mean that the boat stays in the water? We were hoping to find a place where we could pull the boat out on a trailer and camp next to it overnight.

If there aren't any "campgrounds", anyone know of any cheap cabins or something like that?

Justin - Dude, you better watch your back. There are a few guys who have been going to the river FOREVER (probably 2 years) that will kill you for bringing up this subject. By the way, I hear they own the river and you had better ask permission to use it. Come on over to DWB and post this thread.

LOL Eubanks...

From Super Troopers

College Boy 2: No, man, I'm just saying... I'm sayin', if-if you own beachfront property, right, do you own, like, the sand and the water?

College Boy 3: Nobody owns the water. God owns - it's God's water.

You could camp on the sandbar which isn't far from the ramp... People always hangout there. Plenty of room for the boat (minus the truck and trailer), and soft sand to camp on... But I didn't tell you any of this.
