I've been using my friends Lf 141 board i weigh about 135 now so its a little big. Anyway, my point and question is what board is good for a beginner is any brand really better then another for beginneers or is it all reliteve to your riding skill?
Thanks for any help

All companies have boards that run the spectrum of skill level. An advanced board will be faster and have more pop. The 141 is a bit large for your size. I weigh 150 and ride a 135, but thats just personal preference. Personally I feel that molded fin boards are great for beginner/intermediate riders, I even like them on my more advanced board. Good luck have fun.

A of the major board companies have great begginger boards. Basically you just want to stay away from the really aggressive boards, like the O'brien Demented, or a HL byerely or Parks, Those types of boards have really aggressive edges which will make a lot of rookies get rooked (getting rooked=hooking up your toeside edge). I would suggest to demo some boards if possible, or at the very minmum, go to a reliable shop and ask them about what boards wourld be best for you.
