Minolta Dimage Z1 vs. Cannon PowerShot A75

I'm getting a camera as a grad present and as of right now its between these two.. Can anybody offer advice/input on them? How do they compare?
What is better for taking wakeboarding photos? I will be travelling soon and i need to be able to haul it around with me..

For wakeboarding i would personally go with the Minolta Z1 because of its 10X optical zoom lense which will help greatly for longer range shots. It may be a little bigger but i think its better for sports and in general. If i u can try to get the Z2 i dont think its out yet but i dunno. It has a largerr resolution. But def go with the Z1
